New Firm Name
\n<\/strong>Andre La Rosa, CGA is now Andre La Rosa, Chartered Professional Accountant
\nSee new email and web site address to the left.<\/p>\n

On July 2, 2014 Ontario Accountants united as one association under the new name,\u00a0Chartered Professional Accountants, CPA\u2019s which led to the new firm name.
\nUnifying CAs, CGAs and CMAs under the CPA designation.<\/p>\n

CPA, CGA<\/strong>
\nWe can assist with start-up, advice, finance, software installation and training, tax\u00a0planning, estate planning as well as bookkeeping, accounting and taxation work.<\/p>\n

Personal Tax Installments
\n<\/strong>The 3rd of 4 tax installments for 2015 is due on September 15th. if applicable. The 4th\u00a0is due on December 15th. Write you SIN and \u201c2015 tax installment\u201d on cheque.<\/p>\n

Estate Administration Tax
\n<\/strong>Effective January 1, 2015, the Estate Administration Tax came into effect. This\u00a0replaces the old Probate fees and there is a new estate information return to file.<\/p>\n

Books and Records
\n<\/strong>As we move into September, many self-employed people do not have proper books\u00a0and records started for 2015. Summer is behind us and now is a good time to catch\u00a0up and be ready for tax season. Talk to an accountant to get started.<\/p>\n

Car Mileage Log
\n<\/strong>Some business people still do not know this or continue to avoid it. CRA requires\u00a0you to keep a car mileage log to claim car expenses. Keep track of distance traveled,\u00a0destination, business reason, etc. to support business mileage. Check your diary and\u00a0other documentation you may have, plus google maps, to catch up on your 2015 log.<\/p>\n
